We charge £20 to visit you for up to 30 minutes for any work. If you have a problem with your PC we will diagnose and try to fix your PC within this time, after this we charge £15 per extra 30 minutes. Alternatively where appropriate a quote can be given for the whole job, this normally works out cheaper and usually involves taking the PC away for repair at our own premises in Milton Keynes. Payment can be made via cash, cheque, credit & debit card or Paypal. (Credit & debit cards accepted through Paypal, no Paypal account required).

PC hardware upgrades, hardware problems, troubleshooting, diagnostics, component replacement and installation.

PC HEALTHCHECK - PC RUNNING SLOWLY?

PC Healthcheck and tune up service, restore your PC to peak performance* includes Virus, Spyware/Adware scan & removal, dust removal from PC (helps prevent overheating), file system and hard drive check and defragmentation, hardware and software diagnostics as necessary. All Microsoft patches & updates applied as necessary. (CD ROM drive is required).

DATA TRANSFER SERVICE

Data transfer, recovery and data cleansing services available.

Data Recovery - after virus infection or hard drive failure (this is sometimes not possible if your hard drive has completely failed).
Data cleanse - thorough cleansing of data from your old hard drive using special software, this prevents the risk of identity theft if your old hard drive falls into the wrong hands.
Data Transfer - transfer your data to a new hard drive or to your new PC.

BACKUP SERVICES / RECOVERY DISK CREATION

Backup your hard drive data, we can advise on backing up your system and set up scheduled backups etc. Ideally a 2nd internal or external hard drive or DVD writer is required (Windows Vista will not allow you to create a backup file to the same hard drive with the Windows built in backup program).

Alternatively an 'image' of your hard drive can be created which can be restored to a new hard drive if your PC's hard drive fails or your data gets corrupted.

Recovery disk creation service available.

WIRELESS OR WIRED NETWORK INSTALLATION OR TROUBLESHOOTING

Set up a wireless or wired home network, includes configuring and securing your network with encryption (for wireless networks), file & printer sharing and ADSL internet connection set up if required (an ADSL broadband internet connection is required).

We can also deal with networking problems with your existing wired or wireless network. Network problems and internet connection problems are very common.

WINDOWS OPERATING SYSTEM - SUPPLY, UPGRADE, REPAIR, INSTALL, RE-INSTALL

Installation or upgrade of Windows operating system plus all drivers, security patches and updates. We are Microsoft certified to support both Windows XP and Windows Vista. We can also supply Windows XP or Windows Vista at competitive prices.

There is a minimum callout charge of £10 which is part of and included in the first half hour charge. If the problem is because of your ISP or because of faulty hardware then the normal half hourly rate still applies.
**Failing PC components can also affect PC performance, if this is the cause of poor performance then component replacement may be necessary to improve the performance of your PC. Sometimes poor performance can only be significantly improved by adding more RAM or reinstalling the Windows operating system.

are advised to back up their files and data before we undertake any repairs.
